Ty's got another BFF

Well....Ty's got another BFF. Mr. Brayden Jarvis Burger was born yesterday and we've gone to see him twice already. Ty was very sleepy during the first visit, but tonight we introduced them and are confident in their strong bond!

No really, all these babies are so fun to be around. Ty's going to be a lucky little man when he can play with them!

Speaking of playing, his exersaucer is ready and waiting for him to get his head muscles just a little stronger. He LOVES his playmat and his swing. He loves his stroller toys and his rainforest noise maker in his crib too. He's sleeping in his own bed now which is WONDERFUL!!! He goes to bed around 8-9ish and then wakes up around 6:30-7ish. This picture is of him in his big boy crib. If you can tell...the left is the bottom of the sleep positioner. He wiggled his way to the bottom and is laying on the velcro. The blanket is actually a swaddle blanket (the best invention ever). However, being the strong little fart that he is he managed to wiggle out of that as well. He prefers not socks on his piggy's so he wiggled out of those as well and then of course wiggled out of his boy gown too.
So, yes we have a determined little guy. We watched him do this on the video monitor too. That's our entertainment now. Forget the DVR, we watch the video monitor!!!
Okay, so I'm terrible at keeping this blog up. It's because it's not on my calendar to do so. I live by that nowadays. The whole working thing is very time consuming! I still cry some mornings be I'm okay be lunchtime. He's so happy in the mornings it really breaks my heart to leave him all day. But, that's life as we know it right???

Long time no write update!

I’ll start this by saying what I do every other blog…

“Where has the time gone?”

It’s amazing to me how much my life has changed. I’m back to work, which I know I need to do however needs and wants are two different things! I cried the first day which was extremely embarrassing. I walked into a meeting just as my pediatrition called us to bring Ty in. It was then that it hit me like a ton of bricks. I was in Evansville and couldn’t take my own child to the Dr. for the first time he was sick. It ended up being just reflux and normal, but the fact of the matter was that Mama wasn’t there. I’ve since put on my “big girl panties” and dealt with it, but it’s still hard.
Let’s see…back to the title of the page. Ty’s first adventure was Chicago. Todd’s friend, Brad, plays for the Blue Jays and they were playing the White Sox. We packed up the car and headed for a short trip leaving really early in the morning for an evening game. We were about an hour out of Chicago and it started raining. Considering it was just 11 or so we figured the rain would be gone by the evening. When we arrived in Chicago, it was raining harder and it was pretty chilly. I panicked because I knew Ty would be freezing. We walked down Michigan Ave. with umbrellas and Ty Baby fell in love with his little front carrier. He stayed on my chest the whole day! We had lunch with Brad and then found out the game was rained out. We shopped a little, then watched Monday night football at ESPN zone. It wasn’t what we planned, but it was still a good, short trip. Ty did awesome in the car and it was really hard for me to sit next to him and not want to hold him for the drive!
He’s 12 weeks now and we’re in the process of switching to formula which hurts his belly really bad. We’ve learned that Mylicon drops do save the day. We’ve also learned that formula diapers are much yuckier than others!
Today we’re going to the baseball field for a fall scrimmage game. We’ll have him dressed in baseball gear as well. Todd asked me the other day, “What’s Ty wearing Saturday?” It’s kind of funny. We’re both more concerned about what Ty’s wearing than what we are!
Ty’s smiling even more and laughing now too. We LOVE to just stare at him. He’s so active and happy (when his belly isn’t hurting). We’re working on those trunk muscles so he’ll be sitting up soon. He is really working on holding his head up all the time. He is getting better each day too. His little laughs are so sweet. And yes, he’s still Todd’s little clone. He has my hands and lips we think. Other than that, he’s Daddy made over. But he’s still a Mama’s boy. And a Cardinal Fan!
