Holy Cow. That’s how you describe the last two weeks of the Lillpop’s life. We’re breathing now, but just barely. And, I’m really looking forward to a good nights sleep.
So, lets go back to MLK weekend. Saturday, January 17th. Todd goes to look at a foreclosure home (house #1) that we were possibly interested in. We knew it needed work, but we didn’t really know how much work. I was in Louisville and Todd looked at the home with his realtor friend/golf buddy, Jason. They both decided this home wasn’t something we wanted. Instead, Jason had another home that Todd would “love”. Well, he was right.
I had gone to a movie with Taryn (in Louisville) and before our movie we discussed how we want to move and yada-yada. We’re so alike it’s scary. We both want new stuff…yet we have wine taste and a beer budget. Anyhow, I was dying to find out from Todd what he thought about house #1. So was Taryn! After the movie I called and Todd informed me that house #1 wasn’t happening. But he was in love. House #2 came into the picture and of course I’m immediately thinking NO WAY!!! As I’m driving home, I’m itching to get on the internet to see the home that Todd’s describing to me on my phone. Once I got in front of the computer and saw the home online, I knew why he was in LOVE. So I begin to inspect the mls listing, the neighborhood, the pictures, EVERYTHING about this house. I was so interested in it, I drove back the next day to look at the home. Of course I loved it because it was gorgeous.
Okay, so day 2 rolls around and we contemplate putting our house up for sale to just “see” what happens. Wednesday we did that. Thursday, I have a stomach bug that knocks me off my feet. Friday, Todd gets the stomach bug. Ty had it during both days with us. Saturday, we sold our home and bought the new one. Tuesday we lost power in the worse ice storm Owensboro has ever seen. My mom broke her elbow/forearm bones on Wednesday. Today, Saturday, we have power again. But, after returning home we took Ty to the Immediate Care Center because he has an ear infection.
There you have it. Crazy, crazy times but we’re very excited to move. Everything has fallen into place, so we’re confident it’s the right move. Ty’s going to have the entire upstairs by himself so that’ll be an adjustment there, but it will probably be harder on Mommy!
He’s got 2 teeth now (bottom) and about 10 more coming in at the same time it seems. He’s a drooler. A cute drooler. And, he still won’t say Mama, but his smile when he see’s me says it all J

3 for 6
My High School basketball coach, Ms. Greathouse, got me addicted to watching Good Morning America on Saturday mornings. I'm a Today show girl during the week (because I love Matt Lauer and that's what my Mom watched when I lived at home), so GMA was a little out of my comfort zone. Anyhow, Saturdays they do a section called "Your 3 Words". If you haven't seen it, watch it. I promise you'll like it. So, here's a few of Ty's 6 month pictures. And, here are my 3 words to describe them...
