Happy New Year from the Hulk! May 2010 bring many smiles, happy hearts, and good health to all. We have been so blessed...Ty has been an absolute joy to us once again this year. God is so good!
We're excited to find out Baby "A's" gender on Tuesday as a family...and to also confirm our due date.
Amy, my sister, will be expecting her 2nd baby boy (name not announced yet) in February. Todd and I are so happy our baby will be almost the same age as our new little nephew.

While we are anxiously awaiting such an exciting 2010, lets not forget some momentous occasions in 2009:
January: Bought our new "FOREVER" home unexpectedly (we had no idea this was going to happen, but we LOVE our house!!!), my poor Mom fell on her arm during the awful Ice Storm and nearly shattered every bone
February: We went to FL for a week with Daddy's baseball team and PACKED, PACKED, PACKED!
March: We moved into our house that we absolutely LOVE and unpacked, unpacked, and there are still boxes to unpack!
April: Ty said MAMA...FINALLY! We were still unpacking, Ty's first Easter (he LOVED the Easter Bunny!)
May: Ty started taking steps, Daddy wasn't traveling so much with baseball anymore (Ty and I both liked that!)
June: Mommy's girl trip to Florida and I had GB surgery
July: Ty's 1st birthday!!! We found out Amy was Preggers! Ty starting walking in FULL FORCE!
August: Mommy's Nashville girl trip and we lost my Mamaw Cannon...so sad, however now she's with our Opa and feeling great everyday!
September: We went to the park by our neighborhood nearly every evening. The weather seemed perfect almost every day and it was a great way to get Ty ready for a good nights rest!
October: We found out I was preggers, Boo @ the Zoo, Halloween, Ty's 1st UofL football game, Daddy's golf trip in FL, and Sesame St. Live!
November: Florida trip with the Burger's...and the boys had a ball!!! We hope to be able to go on a family trip with them every year (oh, and they will be moving in our neighborhood too...they bought a lot cati-corner from us!)
December: A fabulous Christmas, a week in Louisville, 2 Santa visits, and a house that looks like Toys R Us. Unfortunately we had to also put down Winki...but we know it was time, and the right thing to do for her happiness.
Cheers to 2009...the memories, the lives we celebrated, and excitement we have shared as our family is growing!

RIP Girlfriend

My Winki, my puppy of 14 years went to Doggie heaven on Tuesday, December 22.
Winki was my name in my kindergarten play. I was an elf. My Mom and Dad thought it was hilarious so somehow MY dog was named after me!
She was a member of our family and she truly was an awesome puppy girl. I wish I could give her kisses to her again and talk "puppy talk" to her.
RIP girlfriend...may all your doggie wishes be fulfulled in heaven!

Bird Man!

Kind of blurry, but who cares. Ty Man LOVED the Cardinal Bird. Saturday night we enjoy a good homemade A*& whoopin' of the WKU Topper's. Finally...the Cards have been struggling this year.
Anyhow, he pointed to the "dada bud) entire game...and cried when the "bud" would hide from the crowd. On our way out, guess who we ran in to? Ty actually cut line over and over again (he's good at that these days...more on this later) to get to him. After the picture he kept trying to ruin other kid's pictures by giving him "5" and patting him on the back. He even rubbed his face into the Cardinal Bird's fur!
Sorry Daddy, you snooze you lose. This was Ty's 3rd UL game that we braved to bring him to and he is totally, 100% bleeding red now.
C-A-R-D-S CARDS!

I'm one of THOSE...

So, I'm one of "those" prego Mom's. The kind that are so anxious to find out if I'm having a boy a girl I'll do pretty much anything to find out. The kind that my sister makes fun of.
Ever heard of the Intelligender test?

$30 and you can find out if your having a boy or a girl. Lunch came, so off I go to the drugstore. I asked the clerk if they had any in stock (it was hiding in the pregnancy tests). Of course they did! I asked him if this worked, and he told me "well, you have a 50/50 chance". Well, that should have been my clue that the stupid thing was a waste of my time!

I get back from work and announced that I had a test to take. I worked with mostly women, so of course I had to take it right then! It works sort of like a prego test, but not really. Here's what happens:

pee in cup

collect 20mm of urine in syringe

use syringe to place urine in cup (w/ lid)

this cup has "crystals" in it already; swirl cup w/ crystals

leave on white surface for 10 minutes

read at exactly 10 minutes-test results are not valid after that time

Army Green=Boy

Burnt Orange= Girl

My results: ?????? Sort of in the middle if that is an option?

Yeah, and let me just tell you those crystals smell AWFUL. TERRIBLE. I had to tie down the test in a bag just as I would one of Ty's blowout diapers.
Since then, I've done MANY gender tests online. The Chinese calendar says boy, my feet are not colder than normal so that's a girl, I'm not sure if I'm a basketball or watermelon yet, I have hot flashes so that's a girl, I'm craving salty stuff so that's a boy. It's all in good fun...we just want a healthy baby (and Mommy).
Yesterday's appointment was pretty uneventful...heartrate if the 150's, no clue how much weight I've gained (I tell them not to tell me unless it's a problem), and that's pretty much it!Ty's going to join us January 5th for our ultrasound...even though when we ask him where the "Baby" is he points to my boobies! Poor kid...
So, moral of the story is wait until the actual ultrasound to find out boy or girl. They're educated for a reason!

Oh, what a difference a year makes!

I don't want to be one of those Mom's who says, "this time last year..." about everything that happens in my children's life but seriously...Actually, this was last September. This year's Christmas picture was also taken in September. He liked Santa last year. This year, we shall see. He is such a little Man now. A dancing Man I might add. My child would dance all day if you'd put him on stage.
The last year has been a ball to say the least. Oh, what a difference a year makes!

Prego Fridge

Take a peak at what Baby A is wanting to eat...pickles, cookie dough, and milk!!!

Yes, there a 4 different varities of dill pickles, 3 milks, 2 pre-made cookie dough's, green olives, and you can't see the 3 different types of cheese. 5 days out of 7 I eat a cheese, pickle and mustard sammie. No crust though.
With Ty, I just remember wanting Mexican food like everyday. If I had a craving for something, I just went and got it. These cravings are pretty much staying with me. Gotta love it!
