Summer Lovin', Happened so fast

It's official.  I love summer.  Especially when I'm off work.
Let me clarify that this maternity leave gig "ain't" no vacation.  However, it is providing me some fun opportunities to do things I otherwise would have to pass on because Mama's gotta work.
Like, walks in the park with Ace while Ty Man is at school.  LOVE these.  Just Ace in his stroller looking at Mama with his gorgeous sapphire eyes.  I wish I knew what he was thinking when he looks at me so peacefully.  He even smiles.
And, Kindermusik.  Ty.Loves.It.  I was able to sneak it in last summer on my lunch hour, but this year it's nice to enjoy it fully and not rush around.
And, playdates.
And, the drive-in movie way past Mama's  Ty's bedtime.

*Dana, Ella, Ava, Savannah, Ty, Brock, Brayden, and Steph (where was Tyce?)...yes, it's the only picture we got...a tad bit blurry...I know!*
And, night swimming.  Excellent for babies, but Mama likes the sun!
And, spray park visits.
And, errand running.  During the day.  With kids in the car.  (I have an entirely new appreciation for drive-thru's!...the bank, the car wash, Panera, Even Steven Gas Station (yes, i just said gas station...you can get stamps there!), the dry-cleaners.
And, sitting in a baby pool when Ty's napping and Ace sits in the bay window for Mama to peek on.
And, meals on the back porch.  (It's summertime.  BLT's and Cucumbers are to cookin'!)
And, 2nd Birthday Party Planning (OMG, it's fun but what's more fun is that I can actually take popsicles to Ty's school the week of his bday!!!)
And, night racing at Churchhill Downs.

And, pool visits in Louisville.
And, a rare lunch date and shopping for Mama.

It's been great.  So far.  And, now I'm down to 5 weeks and 3 days before I return to work.  Sadly, I will return because I know it'll make me a better Mom to not be with my kiddos all day, every day.  And, hey, Mama needs a paycheck.
But, until then, Ty, Ace, and Mama will keep knocking out the ol' summer bucket list.  You know...

a trip to the Aquarium in Newport
at least 1 visit to Wee Read at the Library
daytime swimming
a trip to Reid's Orchard

*Me and Amy in the human hamster wheel @ Reid's...I bit the dust and she kicked by butt twice.  That'll never happen again...next time where running shoes!*
craft/learning time, at home.  (I've stalked Martha Stewart, some "toddler learning" blogs, and the local teacher store...Lord help me in brining out my crafy side).
Ty's 2nd Birthday (Finding Nemo is a SLIGHT obsession at the Lillpop house these days...and Party...a weekend long, celebration!
a family weekend where the whole famdamily is over for 4th of July festivites

*Brayden and Ty...kind of scared for the first part of the fireworks in our back yard*

our neighborhood 4th of July Party with a band and we're goin' kidless for a night out!
a yardsale to get rid of lotso junk...well, treasures to some...but the junk's gettin' on my nerves!
and Disney.  For Mama and Daddy.  YAHOO!

I'm sure there are more things on the agenda that I'm forgetting, but needless to say we're staying pretty busy.  I have 1,097 things I should be doing (thank you notes, announcements, uploading a gazilllion pictures (can you hire people for that...I hate it!), organizing, cleaning, grocery shopping, cleaning, gardening, watering the lawn, blah, blah, blah), but those things are kind of hard to do with 2 under 2.  At night, when I tell myself I'm going to do "such and such"...yeah, "such and such" turns into crashing on the couch.  Hey, Mama's gotta sleep at some point.
In the meantime, we'll just continue to try to press the "slo-mo" button on life because we're loving this summer that's happening way too fast!
