Random thoughts on a Tuesday...

I started a new job yesterday.  Excited for the change...sad to leave the people I worked with...but happy for a new opportunity that seems to fit my career goals just perfectly!
Acey is freakin' huge...(just wait until I post his stats this week!).
Ty's obsessed with his cowboy boots.
Ty's also obsessed with saying the word shit.  Yep, sad but true.  And, to be honest...NO ONE can keep a straight face when he says it.
Ace will be switching to SOY formula tomorrow.
Ace yacks all the time.  Projectile sometimes/cottage cheesy sometimes.  Yeah, it's nasty.
Ace also has his second double ear infection now.  Poor kiddo :(
Acey also is the smily-est, happiest baby I have ever seen...even in between yacks.
I am TOTALLY team "Baby" and Derek on DWTS.  He can DANCE...and well, "noboby puts Baby in the corner.
Bootcamp isn't instantly making me all skinny which sucks.  Big time.
Todd turned 35 yesterday.  Hehe...6 years older than me :)
I'm finalizing a Lia Sophia order on the 30th, and I'm about to get an insane amount of bling.  Free.  And, some really, really, REEEEAlly cheap pieces.
This weekend I'm running (HAHAHA...), well, I'm walking with a few steps of jogging a 5k.
And, this Saturday starts a 4 week session of Kindermusik with both boys.  I'm not sure who is more excited...Mama or Ty Man.
Does anyone else think McDonalds coke is better than any other coke they've ever had in their life?  OMG, it's addicting!!!

Friday Funnies-Hey Man

I can't believe I'm going to admit this one...
So we go through drive-thru's alot.  I've talked about it before, but the love I have for drive-thru's has grown through the years.  Drinks, SUPPER, dry-cleaning, BANKING (I'm even a banker...seriously people, utilize the ATM's...you can even get stamps there!), ummm....did I mention supper?  I mean, it's not the healthiest option in the world, but it's quick and kid friendly.  I mean, Old Hickory BBQ, Texas Roadhouse, and Applebee's ALL have options to NOT get out of your car AND there are healthy options on their menu's.
Anyhow, Ty (being the little booger that he is) has TWICE THIS WEEK said, "Mama, I want to say "Hey Man".  He knocks on his window, which is on the driver's side, and says, "hey Man, I want Chick Nuggets".  And, we weren't at Mcdonald's either time.  "Man, Man, Ty needs Chick Nuggets".  (like he thought he was ordering himself)  Both times they were cracking up...and I was too.
Ty is doing better in school...they've moved him up a room and he is pretty much attached to ALL the teachers there.  He thinks they're all there for him and he is everyone's favorite.  He kind of forgets that there are 10 other little kiddos in his classroom that all are favorites too!
He asks to see his Acey each day.  He LOVES to be read too.  And, I'm thinking he talks for all the kids in the room because they tell me each day, "he is the leader of the class. He talks all day and very clear.  He knows when it's time for EVERYTHING (outside, lunch, story time, etc.) and he announces it to all the kids for us!".
I hope he's always a leader...and not a follower.  I just wish it is always as easy as it is in pre-school!

I wanna be a Cowboy baby...

So a few weekends ago was Brock's birthday party.  He's 5.  OMG...5 years have already passed since I took Steph to the hospital to deliver her first baby boy...as she did for me for Ty Babes 3 years later!
Brock is lovin' Cowboys these days so it was just perfect to have his party at Reid's Orchard AND have a pony and miniature horse come for the kids to ride on.
So Cowboy Ty...

Ty-2-Enjoying Brock's 5th Birthday

and Cowboy Ace...

Acey-4 months...just couldn't get those eyes open all the way!

Really had a ball on Saturday afternoon.  It's moments like these....

Ty and Acey on the mini-horse

that we'll remember forever.

Mama and Acey

Sun in the eyes

ridin' like a champ

Slidin' with Daddy

makin' a wish

Ty LOVES Brock and Brayden.  And, Bryce (Bice) and Stephanie (Stessasee).  In fact, we all do.  Seriously...like move in across the street NOW.  Heck...move in next door (ha)!

Random Thoughts on a Wednesday:

My hair is much shorter and darker (it was redder but it's faded. Fast.) Bootcamp is going good. And, Acey has been going to the chiropractor for spitting up. Actually, spitting up is an understatment. Let's go ahead and call it "for puking his brains out" nearly every time he eats. Poor kiddo...
Oh, and big things are happening soon and it's very exciting. More on THAT coming soon too :)
And, because blog posts are much more fun when pictures are involved...

Costume Try-On...will this still be white on Halloween?

Happy 4 months Acey

Acey...oh, Mama will probably call you that until you beg on your hands and knees not to.  Ty started it, and now we ALL call you Acey.  It fits you perfectly though, I must say!
What can you do now?
Well, well, well.  I do believe you did say "Da-Da" last night around 2am.  Actually, Daddy and I were dead asleep.  We heard the whining and then all the sudden it was like a desperate call for "Da-Da" to bring him a bottle.  I mean, it could have been a fluke.  But, we did get all excited and we both woke up pretty fast and said, "did you hear that?  He said Da-da!"
You are a happy little boy.  Oh my goodness, your smiles make my heart melt.  In fact, they make everyone's heart melt!  You laugh and coo all.the.time and you just LOVE to kick your legs and stretch them out (just like you did in my belly you little booger!).
You are eating 6 oz. bottles and the longest you've gone without one is 8 hours.  You're on an awesome schedule during the day...eating about every 4 hours.  BUT...
Acid Reflux.  Oh how I hate Acid Reflux.  6 formula's later, we're now on Enfamil AR.  It's a thicker formula with a rice startch in it to try and help with digestion.  I'm still not sure how someone who vomits nearly EVERY SINGLE TIME a bottle is fed can be SO happy!  Seriously though, the vomiting is ridiculous.  The ped. won't give an acid reflux medicine because you're gaining weight and happy.  You're not gassy or fussy AT ALL.  We're doing all the things we should do as well...feed more "upright", sleep on an angle, burp constantly...UGH.  So, tomorrow we're going to the chiropractor.  After a few visits to him...if that doesn't work, we'll opt for a soy formula.
You  LOVE to just lay on the carpet in the family room under the fan.  You can see everything from that position and I think you just like way the carpet feels on your head!  You love car rides with the window down.  You think looking at yourself in the mirror is silly.  You're fascinated by the tv (uh, oh!) and you LOVE IT when Mama sings to you.  Some of your favorites are Itsy-Bitsy Spider, You are my Sunshine, and Jesus Loves Me.  And, zerberts.  Your belly laughs from those zerberts are priceless.  Oh, and rice cereal (something we've experienced with on and off for a while now)...well, it's growning on you.  You're getting it MOST days of the week at supper time.  In the next few weeks we MAY start introducing some baby foods.  But, my while we're STILL working on this reflux issue I'm not real into food experimentation.
You're wearing mostly 6 months clothing.  Some 9 months (OMG, seriously???).  You look just like Ty (and everyone tells us so!)...but you look a little more like Mommy than Daddy right now (if that makes any sense).  Looking at baby pictures, you look like Mama.  But, you do look so much like Ty it's kind of scary.  I think I had twins 22 months apart!
We really want to move you upstairs to your own room, but with your reflux we still don't feel like we should (even with the video monitor).  You spit up so often it scares me.  You do sleep in your cradle each night all by yourself and you are so fun to watch sleeping.  I could watch you all day long!
You're curiosity of everything is so amazing to me.  You love your star on your carseat and the mirror on the top of your swing.
Acey, it would be an understatement to say that Ty loves you.  He is obsessed with you.  He cries for "his Acey" or his "baby" every single day at some point.  At school, Ty asks to check on you.  At nap time, hewants "my Acey to nappy with me."  I hope this lasts!
4 months and loving it big boy.  Mama is lucky to have such a little adoable boy like you.  I will love you forever baby, and don't you ever forget it!

Boot Camp...Bring it ON!

I still feel like I look like this:
35 weeks prego, 5 days before my "false alarm"...13 days before Acey was born

And, I don't like it.  I look in the mirror and I want to vomit.  Every Sunday night I tell myself, "you're going to the gym everyday.  You're eating healthy all week.  No cokes.  No eating out."
And, it doesn't happen.
I can't believe I used to play college basketball.  I have ran 3 half marathons...that's 13.2 miles in case you didn't know.
And, I'm as out of shape as I have ever been in my life.  I am building up my running stamina but it's hard.  I have NO time.  I'm tired.  And, my eating habits are terrible.
So, if it can take 9 months to gain it...it better take less that that to remove it.  All.  And then some.
Bootcamp starts tomorrow at 5:45am.  M,W,F for 6 weeks.  And, on Oct. 2nd I'm running a FLAT 5k.
Bring it on!  (okay, I'm acting all big and bad.  really, GOD, please be with me.  no injuries, no shortness of breath or oxygen tank usuage.  deal?  thanks!!!)

Yes, we really did go to Disneyworld

And, nearly 6 weeks after going I will finally share pictures.  Todd and I went on July 29th, (the day after my 29th birthday) and stayed for just 2 nights in Orlando.  It.was.awesome. Short, sweet, and MUCH needed for 2 sleep deprived parents of 2 little boys that never, ever seem to sleep at the same time.  EVER!
After a FUN filled day...slightly schweaty!
Todd and I arrived around 9pm on Thursday night on a direct flight out of Owensboro.  Yes, we have an airport.  And, it is direct flights to Orlando.  OMG!  Anyhow, we went to Downtown Disney that night and ate at the Rainforest Cafe.  We LOVE that place (we've eaten there about 10 times in random cities we've been to!).  We went back to our hotel to get a good nights sleep before a day of the Magic Kingdom.  We arrived at the park around 8:30am.  It was about 100 degrees but only half of the humidity KY was having so we were actually not as miserable as we thought we'd be in the Florida heat!  We did, however ride Splash Mountain at 9am.
The Splash Mountain Picture we didn't waste $20 on!
Who really cares if you are wet that early in the morning when you're one big ball of sweat anyway!  We spent the entire day at Magic Kingdom, and them left to go to T-Rex at Downtown Disney.  We came back to the hotel and swam late, then crashed around 10pm.  We slept in, until 8am (ha...not kidding), on Saturday before heading to the airport to head home.  Quick and Simple.  A Happy Birthday to myself trip

Happy Last Year of my 20's to myself
(sort of...I earned a Free ticket from "Give a Day, Get a Disney Day!), but more importantly, we got to refresh ourself on what we want to do when Ty goes!
We don't have NEARLY the amount of pictures that we'll have next year when Ty goes on his first Disney adventure.  I mean, we had to take pictures of ourselves (nerd alert) OR, we had to ask some stranger to take them.
And frankly, I really am not a picture of myself liking kinda girl (especially after having a baby) so I can guarantee that we'll make up for the lack of Disney pictures next year.  Magic Kindom was fun, but I'm thinking we'll definitely do Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and a half day of Epcot as well.
It's fake...but oh, so, real all at the same time!

A bush Mickey, Minnie, and a hot mess of a Mama!

Todd was embarrassed I made him get his picture made in front of the castle...ha!

Mama's in trouble...

The Toy Story Ride that I totally KICKED Todd's A$$ on...always a competition with us ;)

Todd and I on "It's a Small World"...still one of my favorites after all these years!

Yes, I had the boys baseball Mickey shirts made and we didn't take them with us.  I'm pretty sure they were spoiled rotten by Nana and Pop and Mimi and Paw though ;)

Friday Funnies - Tattle Tale

First of all, let me just say that we could not have asked for a better transition for Ty becoming a Big Brother.  He loved Acey from the moment he walked into my hospital room asking in such an excited tone, "where's Acey?".  No, we didn't call Ace "Acey" until that moment.  In fact, Ty called him Santa Claus if he called him anything.  Kind of ironic that when Ace actually did arrive, Ty said "Acey".
He got to meet Ace when Ace was about an hour old.  He got to watch him get his first bath (Mama didn't even get to see that!) and her perched himself right on top of the podium in the hallway viewing area of the nursery.  He boasted his little Big Brother pin right on his Dr. Ty scrubs since it was kind of a big deal for Ty to get loads of attention on Acey's big day too.
Anyhow, Ty is as gentle as a 2 year old can be to little man.  It breaks my heart when Ty's fighting a nap or not in the same place as Ace and he cries for him.  And, he means it.  Or, when he has to give "his Acey" night-night kisses.  Oh, I just love it.
But, as I'm sure it will happen down the road, tattle-telling happend for the first time this week.  Ace was in the tub and Ty was watching.  I walked 3 steps away (head was turned but Ace was his his baby bath, inside the tub) to get Acey's towel and washcloth and Ty said, "no Acey, no.  dats a bad, bad boy".  He was pointing his finger to Acey's wee-wee and I asked if Acey'd pee-pee'd and Ty said "oh, Mama, Acey bad boy".  Ummm...ya think he's heard that before?
Here's a few brotherly love pictures.  These 2 boys melt my heart everyday.  Being away from them while I  work each day just tears my heart all to pieces.  But getting the best ever bear hug with a SHOUT of Mama or a smile that literally takes up your entire child's face when you pick them up in the afternoon...yeah, that makes it all better.

Acey 3 months...

So, Ace weighs 17.8 lbs. today and he's 25.5 inches long.  He's 3.5 months.  He only weighed 6.13lbs. when he was born.  And, when you hold him (again, just like Ty) he's hard.  He's not a squishy, shubby baby.  He's solid.as.a.rock.  I hate to always compare him to Big Bro Ty, but it's exactly the same.  Is it possibly to have twins 22 months a part?  Seriously, I think we've got some serious howtheheckismomgoingtotellthesepicturesapart20yearsfromnow issues going on.  Here ya go:
He LOVES to just lay on our carpet...
Hope he actually likes baseball!
Playful face...

Baseball Mickey
