Acey...oh, Mama will probably call you that until you beg on your hands and knees not to. Ty started it, and now we ALL call you Acey. It fits you perfectly though, I must say!
What can you do now?
Well, well, well. I do believe you did say "Da-Da" last night around 2am. Actually, Daddy and I were dead asleep. We heard the whining and then all the sudden it was like a desperate call for "Da-Da" to bring him a bottle. I mean, it could have been a fluke. But, we did get all excited and we both woke up pretty fast and said, "did you hear that? He said Da-da!"
You are a happy little boy. Oh my goodness, your smiles make my heart melt. In fact, they make everyone's heart melt! You laugh and coo all.the.time and you just LOVE to kick your legs and stretch them out (just like you did in my belly you little booger!).
You are eating 6 oz. bottles and the longest you've gone without one is 8 hours. You're on an awesome schedule during the day...eating about every 4 hours. BUT...
Acid Reflux. Oh how I hate Acid Reflux. 6 formula's later, we're now on Enfamil AR. It's a thicker formula with a rice startch in it to try and help with digestion. I'm still not sure how someone who vomits nearly EVERY SINGLE TIME a bottle is fed can be SO happy! Seriously though, the vomiting is ridiculous. The ped. won't give an acid reflux medicine because you're gaining weight and happy. You're not gassy or fussy AT ALL. We're doing all the things we should do as well...feed more "upright", sleep on an angle, burp constantly...UGH. So, tomorrow we're going to the chiropractor. After a few visits to him...if that doesn't work, we'll opt for a soy formula.
You LOVE to just lay on the carpet in the family room under the fan. You can see everything from that position and I think you just like way the carpet feels on your head! You love car rides with the window down. You think looking at yourself in the mirror is silly. You're fascinated by the tv (uh, oh!) and you LOVE IT when Mama sings to you. Some of your favorites are Itsy-Bitsy Spider, You are my Sunshine, and Jesus Loves Me. And, zerberts. Your belly laughs from those zerberts are priceless. Oh, and rice cereal (something we've experienced with on and off for a while now)...well, it's growning on you. You're getting it MOST days of the week at supper time. In the next few weeks we MAY start introducing some baby foods. But, my while we're STILL working on this reflux issue I'm not real into food experimentation.
You're wearing mostly 6 months clothing. Some 9 months (OMG, seriously???). You look just like Ty (and everyone tells us so!)...but you look a little more like Mommy than Daddy right now (if that makes any sense). Looking at baby pictures, you look like Mama. But, you do look so much like Ty it's kind of scary. I think I had twins 22 months apart!
We really want to move you upstairs to your own room, but with your reflux we still don't feel like we should (even with the video monitor). You spit up so often it scares me. You do sleep in your cradle each night all by yourself and you are so fun to watch sleeping. I could watch you all day long!
You're curiosity of everything is so amazing to me. You love your star on your carseat and the mirror on the top of your swing.
Acey, it would be an understatement to say that Ty loves you. He is obsessed with you. He cries for "his Acey" or his "baby" every single day at some point. At school, Ty asks to check on you. At nap time, hewants "my Acey to nappy with me." I hope this lasts!
4 months and loving it big boy. Mama is lucky to have such a little adoable boy like you. I will love you forever baby, and don't you ever forget it!
