Friday Funnies-Got Bunnies?

I have these slippers:

I will spare you the shot of MY feet in them, but I do have them. And, I wear them…when I remember and my feet are cold.  My Mom, however, wears hers all the time. And, Ty thinks they are too cool.
The other day I was wearing mine and Ty ran over and started petting my feet. Here was our convo:

Ty: Mama got bunnies?
Me: Yep. Do you like ‘em?
Ty: Oh yeah Mama! Mimi got bunnies too?
Me: That’s right dude. (as I’m laughing because him petting my feet tickles)
Ty: Papaw got bunnies to Mama?
Me: Hahahhahaha, no, Papaw doesn’t have bunny slippers.
Ty: Oh Mama, Papaw needs Bunnies too, okay Mama?
Me: Okay Bubs, we’ll work on that.

And, I said that last comment sarcastically. However, the thought of my Dad wearing bunny slippers is hilarious. And, no matter how “manly” he is, if Ty wanted him to wear bunny slippers (at home) he would because he is THAT kind of Papaw!

We Made McMommy

We soooo made it.  If you have never heard of McMommy you are totally missing out.  She's the kind of blogger that makes me laugh out loud every.single.time I read something she posts.  She's kind of like the Janet Evanovich of blogging. She's hilarious and sassy.  I love her 'tude and her take on what it's like raising 2 boys.
Well, she does a Christmas Card blog that is such a cute idea.  You submit your card to her and she posts them for strangers other bloggers and stalkers to read.  And...we made it!  See :  McMommy Holiday Card...US!  Captured Moments gets all the credit because, well, they're AWESOME.  But, the 2 little boys are kind of "it" if I do say so myself.
Thank you Taryn for directing me to read this blog.  It puts a smile on my face to know that all of us Moms of boys are in this together.  They sure do wear us out with their energy and their boy "stuff", but they sure do love their Mama's!

Santa Claus 2010

Santa Picture 2010.  Ty and Ace.  Do you feel my excitement?
How ugly is this Santa?  I mean really.  Santa totally trimmed his beard this year.  And, his teeth were scary.   I think Santa needs some veneers.  Ty was so proud to see him again this year and he was even more excited that we stuffed his pocketes with his Special Agent Oso characters to show Santa.
What did Santa do?  "What's are those?"  "Okay, you want them?  Well be good".  All while Ty was just admiring him.  He didn't even say "Ho, Ho, Ho".  Total disappointment this year Santa.  I'm pretty sure we'll go back to Oxmoor for the standard annual Santa photo.
On another note, Ty wants a freakin' Ken doll.  As in, Barbie and KEN.  Oh, sweet Jesus Todd about had a cow when Ty said he wanted Ken.  We were in Macy's and our mall's Macy's is about the size of a cracker box.  They had this little toy section and Ty was doing his usual, "I want Dat Mama.  I need dis.  Oh, I wuv it Mama".  Until he saw Barbies.  "EWWW Mama, that's yucky"...which is typcial for any toy that is pink or girly.  However, this time he responded with, "Mama, I want Ken".
I had tuned him out at this point but after I heard an elderly lady cracking up at him I realized what he was saying.  Of course her laughing egged it on..."Mama, I need a Ken".  "Daddy, get my Ken".  Todd ended up strolling him out of the store.  Mortified.
And, a day later he's still asking for a Ken.  I can only hope this is from Toy Story 3.  "Nice Ascot"...lol!
Oh, and Ty told Santa that he was going to leave him cookies and milk on his own when he hopped off of his lap.  Holy cuteness!

Christmas Card 2010

Okay, so there's actually 4 sides of 'card' and this is just one of them.  I'm pretty much in love with my kids (surprised anyone?).  But, I will totally be getting all these boys kisses underneath the mistletoe this year!  Happy Christmas Ya'll!

Mama, My Nuggets

So daycare pick up each day is a chore.  I hate it.  Todd does the drop off in the mornings (thank GOD), and I get to pick them up each day after school.  Yes, I get the happy smiles and the hugs that really mean something and I don't have to ask for them.  But, I hate having to pack them up and get them in their seats, and how Ty runs away from me in the parking lot, and Ace's carrier (that seems to weigh like 50 lbs. these days), and then you add a rainy day (UGH) or a freezing day and it really just puts a damper on the day.  Complain much?  I know, I need to quit but seriously, they need a daycare pickup drive-thru.  You open the doors and they buckle up your kiddos for you all the while rambling on the events of the day.  Ooooh, and I could text them with an "I'll be there in 10" note so they're all packed up and ready to go.  Dang, that's a good idea!
Anyhow, you get my point.  I love my kids more than words, but daycare pick up is not a fun time of the day, okay?
So, I do something I shouldn't (but I am not the only one that does it)...I leave my car running, go in and get Ace all loaded up and go out and put him in the car.  I then go in and get Ty in the gym (and everyday I have to chase him.  in heels).  We have to go to his room to get his papers, his craft, and his coat.  Then, I have to get him into the car and into the carseat he really doesn't fit that well in anymore.  (he's currently in a Britax Marathon that he's been in since 8 months, but he's clearly too big for it now).
This is also the time of day that I find out what kind of coat Todd puts on Ty in the mornings.  I pick out their clothes and shoes on Sunday nights for the week.  The coats are up to him.  And, usually Ty ends up in a thin jacket if anything. (I mean really though, how fun is it sitting in a carseat in a freakin' heavy coat?  Talk about the Christmas Story!)
Anyhow, yesterday I told Ty we had to hurry because Acey was in the car and it was FREEZING.  I was holding him and he was hugging me when I said this.  He leaned back and said, "oh no Mama, my nuggets!"  And, yes, he grabbed his nuggets.  He said, "Mama, Acey's nuggets fall off!  lets get 'em" and then he wanted down to run to the car.
Ace Man, now that is brotherly love dude.
I'm pretty sure telling him him he has to wear a coat because he'll freeze his nuggets off wasn't a good idea.  His teachers got a good laugh, and to be honest I did too.  Now if we could only get him to quit saying S.H.I.T.  (and he knows if we spell it what we're saying...seriously dude...you'll do anything for laughs!)
