This is Part 2 of a series of our most recent Disneyworld vacation. Start with this post so you can start at the beginning~HomerunMama
Oh, what would Disneyworld be without a CHARACTER BREAKFAST?
| Ty had a hot date for breakfast! |
This was super-cool. I mean, it’s not every day you get to eat Mickey Mouse waffles (that are really good, BTW) with Donald Duck. We chose to have breakfast because we’re early birds. In fact, we used our little cab trick and it drove us right over to Cape May in the Beach Club for a fabulous breakfast with Goofy, Minnie, and my personal favorite, Donald.
| Maybe he's Ty's favorite too! Donald danced all morning. He "shook his tail feather" for everyone! |
| Somebody is slightly happy Goofy came to see him! |
We walked around there for a while because we were meeting my Dad’s cousin at the Animal Kingdom. We took the shuttle over to AK and hung out near the fountain in the Rain Forest Café until we got in. AK is awesome.
| Getting him to pose is almost impossible! |
| CHEESE! |
If you want to see characters and not wait buzz lightyear’s (corney, I know), then go to AK and go Camp Minnie and Mickey. We saw Donald again (man, he changes fast), Minnie, Mickey, and Chip and Dale there. And, we didn’t hardly have to wait at all.
| Ty and Mickey. LOVE this picture. This one made Ty's day! |
| Ty with Chip and Dale. For the record, Chip and Dale were everywhere on our trip. And, they were too funny. I wasn't even sure Ty knew who they were. But, he did. And, he also knew who Chip was. "The one with da dark nose Mama". Yes, Chip has a black nose and his teeth are "bucked" in the center. Dale has a reddish brown nose with 2 seperated buck teeth. And, there's your Disney trivia for the day! |
The Lion King show is right by there, so we got right in for that afterwards.
| Just can't wait to be King! (Ty's favorite song!) |
My Dad took off for Fast Passes for the Safari as soon as we got in so after the Lion King we went on our tour. OMG, the safari may have been one of our most favorite parts of the trip. All of the animals were so active and CLOSE.

We went to the DinoLand and I wish we could have stayed there a little longer. It was getting to be nap time. We ate a quick serve meal at Dino Bites and rode 2 rides before we had to leave for nap time.
| The Dinosaur ride that "flew" |
And, we rode Dinosaur. Warning: If your kiddos are frightened easily, don't ride this. Ty was okay...not great, but he was fine. Then again, he loves roller coasters. The Dinosaur's in this ride are scary. Even for adults!
I’m not sure who needed naps more, but we ALL slept for 2 hours. Yes, Disney wears you out!
We went to Hollywood Studios that night and saw the Osborne Family lights. One word that comes to mind is...MAGICAL. Seriously, Ty was amazed at the lights!
He was dancin' in the street. Like, really putting on a show... |
| And, then it snowed. This is when I said, "okay, I'm ready for Christmas! |
| Still Dancing. That's my boy! |
We ate in a car at the Sci-Fi café and that was pretty neat. Food was…okay.
| Eating in a car. He thought it was real! |
We just missed the light show at Hollywood, but we will be back one day to see it. Nothing was better than…Ty dancing in the street. OMG, he loved it. The lights, the snow…it was amazing.
| He was about over the picture taking at this point! |
We called it a day after that…the next day our schedule was JAM PACKED!
Lesson’s of the Day: Naps are needed for adults too, get in the parks early, double stroller’s are much better for tall 3 year old’s that are really too big for strollers anyway, eat dinner early enough at Hollywood to see the light show. Heck, just spend an entire day at AK and another at Hollywood. Hollywood has so many things for adults to do and so many of the Disney characters are there. AK is the same way...and it's really something you don't want to rush through. If your kiddos like animals, like mine, they'll thank you for it! Next time, we will spend an entire day at each park.. Oh, and Fast Passes kick a$$.
Coming soon: Disney Day 3 and a Disney Round up. Somebody led a Conga line with just Jessie in front of them. Yep, that was me. Mimi was right behind me and those Toy Story characters know how to dance! Until then, here's a picture that I took on our last night there. Ohhhh, it's so pretty...
| Magic Kingdom: It's called that for a reason. |
