Randomness, Party of 4

Our life seems to be in "live to survive" mode right now.  We're working on our second wind.  The boys miss their Daddy, and I do too.  Todd's working his butt off, and he's worn out.  Basically, we're all just in a tizzy.
Here's a list of randomness because that's how we do it...

-We had bad storms the other night and they woke Ty up.  He came downstairs and I met him at the bottom of the steps.  He said, "Mama, those monsters scared me.  I sleep with you and Daddy so you're not scared".  He thought the wind gusts were monsters!  We got in bed and he was SO excited to be sleeping with us.  He said, "I hope those monsters don't get Acey!".  I'm glad he was so concerned over his little bro's well being!
-I'm planning both boys birthday parties...okay, well Acey's is almost planned.  But the date has changed to June.  Yes, it's 19 days after his birthday, but between our schedule, baseball, our families schedule, and the available party times, that's when it needed to be.  And, yes he'll have a special weekend devoted to him on the 14th and 15th of May.  Our baby boy is kind of a big deal!
-Ty's party is going to be at either the drive-in or Elllis Park.  The drive-in is a tricky situation for all kinds of reasons but mainly because we won't know the movie schedule until a few days before.  Ellis Park could be a great day of horse racing with...little jockeys.  Seriously, I'm liking that idea more and more, I just don't know if it's appropriate for a 3 year old party.  Decisions, decisions...
.-I have a spa day set for June 11th.  Seriously, a day for me.  OMG
-Coach has an Audrey Collection and  Poppy Collection.  2 Collections named after me?  How thoughtful!
-2.5 months until beach trip number 2 for 2011.  Girls only.  Welcome to Miami baby!
-3 months until I'm 3-0.  Dang...
-5 months until family beach trip #3...back to PCB
-6 months until family (minus Acey) trip to Disney.  (no worries, Acey gets his own trip when he's 3 too...he'll be too young to hang with the big boys and he'll have more fun at home rather than in lines and sitting in a stroller all day)
-Our Disney trip is the last weekend of the Epcot Wine and Cheese festival.  PERFECT timing, as usual Abu!
-Todd and I are trying to plan something for our Anniversary, but we can't decide.  We may just do something extra in PCB or Disney and then go to French Lick our Anni weekend (Thanksgiving weekend), but it is 5 years.  And, we've kind of got a busy travel schedule already.  Hmmmm....
-I went to a consignment sale last week and got 11 pieces of clothing for $42.  Polo, Gymboree, Children's Place, Old Navy...and a few of them had the tag's on them.  SCORE!
-I've lost my tan from the beach.  Boo Kentucky!
-Steph and Bryce's house is about to be bricked!!!  Our boys are going to have blast living across from each other and we are SO excited to have them in our neighborhood.  Life will be so much easier!!!
-Ty's fully potty trained but he has a hard time with buttons.  Actually he calls them buttom's.
-We went to my nephew's "Ninja" birthday party last Saturday.  Ty kept saying "minger's" instead of ninja's.
-Yesterday I had Ace's 1st Birthday pictures taken and he.did.AMAZING!  I can't wait to see them.  He smiled and and really posed the entire time.  And just because pictures are what blogging is about:
Ty Man...yesterday when Ace did this same photo shoot I wanted to cry.  I'm so blessed with my 2, happy boys.
I really wrote this post last week and and it had all kinds of Easter stuff in it.  Easter has came, along with some other sad news I will share later.

Y3W: Dream Big Baby

Ace:  10 months and obsessed with baseballs.  He gets it honest...

Dream Big Baby...
I love the way Acey is looking at that baseball.  Is he thinking, "ball, we're going to have fun one day?"   He's studying the ball so intently--maybe working on his hand position for the perfect slider?
I say that half serious/half joking.  Here's why:
Todd and I were lucky to be athletes.  College athletes.  He played baseball in college and I played basketball.  We lived and breathed sports our entires lives.  Sports were our jobs in college--and the opportunites we had were amazing!
I played volleyball, basketball, and softball in high school and many times, I practed all 3 of those in one day (summer's were brutal!).  College brought 2-a-days and a whole new meaning to "time-management".  Todd (who is 6 years older than me...and yes, I love to remind him of that), is still living the dream and he's a coach.  A College baseball coach at Kentucky Wesleyan College.  Yes, I'm married to baseball.  It's a love/hate relationship right now, but that's not the point.
My point is, our boys are surrounded by parents who are obsessed with sports.  But, what if our boys aren't?  I'm not saying it's bad if they aren't.  I'm saying, what do we do?  That's what we know.  Todd and I know baseball.  And, basketball.  And, golf.  Okay, Todd knows golf but still.
Are we going to have kids we can't relate to if they like things like Star Wars or Musical Instruments?
I keep telling myself to let them Dream.  Let them be who they want to be and to follow their dreams.  Their big dreams...and their hearts.
I do know, we'll always be their biggest fans.  Promise.

Handsome Boys @ the Field

Ball Mama (that's what he said.  promise)

Yoohoo, Acey.  Ova-here dude!
Check out the fluff on his head!

What Mama?  I juggle balls behind my head 'cuz I got it like that!

This is my life.  Seriously love this picture in a major way.  And I'll just go ahead and say it...Todd looks hot here!

Mr. Snoozy Pants

(pirate voice) Arrgh, me got baseball 'mate!

This is why Ty gets hosed down before he gets in my car.  Dude leaves major rings around the bath tub.

Daddy and Ty.  I would say I think his tractor's sexy but Ty's in the pic...lets title this "No Daddy, Ty do it".

Half asleep, hotter than Haiti, and still a little smile from Acey.  Yes, he has a mouthful of teeth.  Sweet baby, Mama loves you!

And, last but not least...Mr. Blue Mouth.  Still handsome though!

The Beach in Pictures Part 2

Yes, I followed through with a "Part 2"...a first in blog promises I've made when it includes pictures!  Thanks to Aunt Sissy (my sister, Amy) for being the photog for the week!  So, here we go in no particular order...

Papaw, tell me 'bout the good 'ole days

This is what the dolphins looked like outside our window this morning.  Yes, life is soooo good.

Dude, you seriously cannot be 6 years old already.  Happy Birthday E-fan!
Jealous?  Be jealous.  We're surrounded by these this week :)

No real point in posting this pic other than it's cool.  An albino peacock?  My sis found this yesterday at Zoo World.  I'm totally digging these feathers.

Ace always looks like he's up to something.  Poor kiddo got into it with a ceramic coaster.  The coaster won.

Ace under his mock tent eating Duck

Seriously, do they make suspenders for Swimming trunks?  Ty has a problem.

My Dad's facebook status today:  Me - Ty do you know who made the ocean? Ty - Mimi did.

Me - No she didn't. God made the ocean. Ty - Papaw, are you kidding me?

Me - No I'm not kidding, God made the ocean. Ty - Noooo way

This was the convo while they strolled up and down the beach picking out shells this morning.

Ace and Me.  Sweet Baby had a tie but Mimi dressed him and she said he didn't want to wear it.  Really, 10 month old's dictate their outfits these days?  What about all those stupid, itchy ruffle butt panties I had to wear when I was little MOM?

Acey and that "I'm 'bout to" face again...

Remember this sweet picture of loving cousins last year?
Yeah, this is this year.

This week has been a blast, and I'm sad to see it end.  Beach life is THE life.  I'm just glad Mimi and Papaw took us with them!

10 things to do in Florida with 4 kids under 5...

10.  Go to sleep at 8:30pm because the entire condo will be up at 5:30am anyway due to Ace or Ty.
9. Let's just skip to the #1 answer...Wine.  Drink Wine.  Lots of wine.  Go to wineries.

2 of my 3 bottles to take home and a delish dip mix I couldn't get enough of!  Panama City Beach and Seabreeze Wineries...highly recommend them!

(Okay, so it was cold yesterday morning and we were sunburnt, but still.  Wineries were totally on the to-do list this week.  Amy and I are our Mothers children.  We get it honest!)
Thank goodness for Mimi and Papaw.  They have allowed me breathe this week.  Baseball season is exhausting for me.  This Spring Break trip always comes at the most perfect time.  I need some extra hands, and some time to just laugh and relax with the fam.  Ty and Ace are enjoying their cousins even if Ty has spent some Q.T. in timeout this week.  Poor kid can't get by with looks alone...ha!

Ty Man - Pretty sure this was taken in the Time Out chair
Woody had to be placed far, far away from our 4 boys who are obsessed with him.  I mean seriously, you can pull his string only so many times before you're quoting him at all hours of the day.

Ace and Blake were having a ball eating cheerios yesterday.  I have a picture of Ty looking like this at about the same age...

Ty lovin' "chee-o's" too.  Look at all his hair!!!
And, just because...

Cheesin' Ace

Apparantly tigers like applesauce too--at least Ty says so
Life is good.
I heard a funny saying the other day.  "You can say your kids are not the boss of you all you want.  But, if your kid watches you potty, they are the boss of you--you might as well admit it."
So true, so true.

Ace's 1st Birthday Party Theme

Ace's 1st Birthday...
Super Ace - 10 months

To say we're a little obsessed with Super-hero's around here is a little bit of an understatment.  I mean really, I brought my boys Super-Hero capes Santa gave them to Florida.  They're kind of a big deal!
I debated between an "Ace" of Hearts party and the Super Ace theme, but I know Super Ace will be more fun for the kiddos and that's what it's all about!  However, I do wonder if I will still be planning parties for my boys on their 18th Birthdays...how cute would it be to use that theme and do a casino night?  Ahhhh...get back on track Audrey!
Part of Ace's Party Costume my friend Mollie made for him!
I've etsy'd, google'd, and planned this party like it's my job...and I CAN NOT WAIT until the big day:  May 14th (the day before Baby Boy's actual Birthday)!  It's going to be Super!!!

The Beach in Pictures Part I

The beach is our happy place.  Here are some pictures of the last 2 days:
Blake is all "ewww sand" as Ace eats it and licks his lips.

Papaw, quit throwing left over pancakes to the birds OVER our heads!

Ty loves the beach.  Ty loves the beach.  Did I mention, he loves the beach?

Ty and Papaw building a "great big castle".  Ty thanked God for castles before our trip.

Ty (aka, the hoarder) with his fishing net, turtles, and surfboard (well, to him it's a surfboard).

Ethan and Ty @ Uncle Ernie's.  Ty worships the ground E walks on!

This is why the beach is a big deal.  Ty is LOVING it!

Acey's first time sitting in the sand.  He LOVED it!

It's a bird.  It's a plane.  It's SUPER ACE!

Ace ate quite a bit of the sand...one of the many food groups this week I guess...

Ace has as grip that puts big boys to shame

Fishing out his shark, crab, and fish for the 1,453 time on Saturday

Got Crack?
