Acey: 17 month old update

Sweet Baby Acey,
You're 17 months old now. You're growing everyday--overnight it seems. You're wearing mostly 3t clothes and you weigh about 32 lbs. I need to verify your height...(note to self)...but you're kinda tall.  You're in a size 6 shoe too...big foot! You have a mouthful of teeth. Literally. And, you're little faux-hawk steals hearts. So do your blue eyes. They're quite a show stealer.
And, your cheeses'? When you see a camera, any camera, you say "cheese" and show us all your little tee-fer's. This includes strangers at the beach.  You little ham you!
You definitely have a spunk about you. You talk all the time...as in, jabber jaws. Your favorite saying now is "too infinity, and beyond!". You have the "and beyond" part down pat.
You're still a little Mama's boy and you definitely like me to hold you and love on you (you pat me when I rock and love on you and it's seriously the cutest.thing.ever). But, you're also a little sneak who seeks out "fun". You know, like eating balloons (to make it POP in your face) and flushing toilets. You can also open all doors (even those with locks). Yeah...good times.
You love to eat most anything. I hope this doesn't change...I know it will but for now I'm loving that you'll eat any veggie that's in front of you!

The beach made you happy. So did the waterfalls at the pool! It's in your blood dude!
You love school and it makes me so happy to know that you're happy while Mama's at work all day. You're teachers love on you just like we do and you're learning things that make me so proud.
You sign milk, more, eat, Mama, and Daddy all the time but we're working on more. You LOVE to dance (especially do the "Snack Wrap" song). You can count to 3 now and "Bringing Home a Baby Bumblebee" makes you laugh.
You sleep from about 7:45pm-7am (on good days) in your crib. You've not tried to climb out yet (thankyouJesus) but you sure do like to climb on other things (couches, stools, steps).
You love your Bubbeeee (Ty) and your Papy (Pacy)...and you say both with an Italian accent. Yes, that's cute too.
I asked Ty tonight if he wanted another baby Brother or a Baby sister and he said, "I want another Acey". I said, "2 Acey's?" He said, "yep. Acey and Acey BooBoo!"
He thinks your a big deal too.
Oh, and BooBoo? Yeah, that kind of stuck. I'm not sure how, but you're "BooBoo" 75% of the time and you're Acey 25% of the time.
It fits you, Boo.
Mama Loves you Baby Boy. To Infinity and Beyond!

And Beyond!

Let me preface this video.
Ace is obsessed with Buzz Lightyear.  And, Woody.
I mean he gets it honest.  Big Bro is too.
So, the following video is Ace Man watching TS3 in our condo at the beach.  Sure, we egged it on a bit but seriously.  This is funny.
video

He's mumbling and his back is to the camera...he's he's SO into his "and beyond!"
And, that makes me happy.
Love you Boo!

Y3W: Happy Fall Ya'll

Last Saturday we enjoyed a day out with the boys at a local farm.  Steph had to work so our boys, Todd, and the Burger's all went and got some pumpkins!  Here are some pictures of our fun afternoon out:

Ty and Brock:  Hard Men at Work (okay, so they're trying to make their rubber ducky win the "race".

Hi Mama!  (Ace)

Ty and I.  Mama forgot his shades...poor kiddo!

Clearly Ty is bored since he already found his pumpkin.
Ty Man.  See that partial number above his head?  it's a 4.  As in 4 ft.  And, he's not standing up straight in this pic.  Why do they have to grow up overnight?

Brayden and Ty.  In a "tunnel".  I think I need one of these in my backyard.

Acey and that "I'm 'bout to" face again.  He's a mess!

This is what happens when I try to get a picture of both boys.  They find something much cooler to look at.  Or, they tell me they won't look because the sun's in their eyes.

Ty and Brock on the way to pick their pumpkins.  Weeeee!

Daddy and Ace.  Seriously, he cheeses all the time!
And then we came home to make our Buzzy Woody's as Ty man calls them:

Say hello to our pumpkin friends!

Bumps on the Noggin'

It must be something about my boys at this age.
Ace had a little accident Friday night:
Yeah, he's STILL smiling.
He was running from his brother in the entryway and he slipped.  He did a belly whopper on the edge of the bottom step NAILING his noggin' in just the right spot to make a good ole' goose egg.  He cried for about 30 seconds and then stopped.  Actually it was one of those falls where you hear the "thump", a long pause, and then a waaaaaaaillllll of a scream.  He literally shook it off in less than a minute.  It.looked.awful. though.  Really.  I'm not just saying that because I'm his Mama.  It looked like a hard boiled egg was sitting on the outside of his forehead.
But, it must run in the family...
A prego me and Ty Man...Christmas Day 2009
Ty did the same thing a few years back hitting his head on the corner of a chair while opening Christmas presents and his Nana and Pop's.
I remember feeling sick to my stomach when that happened to Ty.  It was the first time he'd really "hurt" himself.
What's even more funny is to think that I was like 4 months prego with Ace when that picture was taken holding Ty.
While that magical question of "are you going to have anymore?" gets asked on most days by someone (often times, complete strangers), the thought of being 4 months pregnant right now is...exhausting!

Y3W: Ty Cannon-Zookeeper

So we drove yesterday, ALL DAY LONG, to get home so I could get back to work today.  The boys were actually better behaved than we anticipated.  It's amazing what food and a DVD player can do for a kid's mood!
More on that later...
This picture ya'll...OMG...Ty was in hog heaven:
He noticed the box on our front porch when we got home and he started jumping up and down yelling, "my zoo clothes, my zoo clothes!"
He strutted in this little outfit and then he asked to sleep in it.  Someone's gotta thing for animals.  Notice "Slipper Snake" on his shoulder?  That snake made it to Florida AND back (dang...).
Now, if we could only get Acey to wear his monkey costume without throwing a fit.
Up next:  Halloween fun, PCB photo work (I will do this soon.  I will do this soon.  I will do this soon),  FINALLY a trip to Louisville, and in less that 1 month:  DISNEYWORLD!
Stay tuned!

Until I blog again...

Wifi is sketchy and I don't have time for technology this week.
However, someone just wanted to say Cheeeeeeeeese until I blog again:
Ace Man - almost 17 months old
Sweet baby, I could just eat him up!  Anytime he see's a phone or camera in his face he says "CHEEEEEEESE" and does his little toothy grin.  What a ham!
Okay, okay, I'll share one of Ty too:
Ty Cannon-3 years old
Ty loves throwing coins in fountains.  He even asks strangers for more coins when Mama and Daddy run out.
Today is our only rainy day...and yes, it's "picture" day too.  Maybe photoshop will make it look sunny and beautiful?
3 more beach days after this and we're out.  Boo-hoo, someone has to work on Friday.

Sunday Photo Dump

Ty, Todd, and Acey.  I think I need to invest in some shades for Ty Man.  We missed Daddy's fall games because Ty had a soccer game, hence the soccer uni.  Soccer was better.  Ty likes to take drink breaks and he really wants his own ball.  He gets all pouty pants when he doesn't have the ball to himself.  It was much better than last time, but considering he's had 2 weeks off, he made me proud!

Battle wounds already?  Nah, he just bit the dust in the parking lot.  Long story, but he was tough.  Yes, I realize this picture is a straight shot of his nose...lol, oh well.  It's a great shot of his Sunkist mustashe and his long eyelashes that I'm ridiculously jealous of.

Ty and Hannah Bear.  His girlfriend.  Isn't she cute?  She was on the other team (Ty's "hunter green" and Hannah Bear is on the black team).  No her name is not really Hannah Bear.  It's just what Ty demands we call her.  They go to school together. He's in L.O.V.E but you def. can't tell in this pic!
Gooooaaaallllll #2.  Mimi pays for goals.  Last night we oh-so-proudly placed his 2, $1 bills in his piggy bank.  The goalie was Jack or Eli...not sure which.  They are identical twins that are adorable and I'm friends with their Mama.  She played basketball at Brescia when I coached and then we took baby classes together at the hospital.  She was actually in the hospital trying to stop her labor when I was having Ty--she came to visit as I was on the verge of the "ohmyGodI'mdying" contractions before the epidural.  We then visted her in the hospital to see Jack and Eli on my actual due date with Ty.  Anyhow, now they were playing soccer against each other and being all cute...my, how time flies!

And, how sweet is this?  Ethan came with my parents yesterday and it totally made Ty's day.  He's been asking for his "E-fan" for weeks.  Right before they got here Ty said, "Mama, you think E-fan's bringing any toys in his pockets?"
Ty worships the ground E walks on and he was such a good sport watching Ty's game "coaching" him.  I love my little nephews so much!

And, just because I think this is funny...
Ty slept with us while he had pneumonia.  Now that he's not coughing his head off like crazy, it's time for his to get back to his bed.  He said, "Mama, you gonna let me sleep in your bed?"  I told him he had his own bed and that big boys slept in their own beds.  He got all sad puppy-dog eyed and said, "but Mama, you're so cute.  I just wanna sweep wif you so I can be wif you".
Guess who's sleeping in my bed tonight?

Random Thoughts on a Saturday Afternoon

Why do I blog?
Because I want to always remember my boys looking like this:
Ty Cannon-3
Ty and Ace-already scheming against Mama
When I look at that picture I see 2 things.  A vent and a door stopper-thingy.  Those are 2 "toys" in my boys minds.  Ty is telling Ace how to drive Mama crazy by flicking that little stopper thingy over and over again.
Toys anyone?
Ace (in Ty's cape).  He's all "oooooohhhhhh" everytime he opens this chest.
Ace has started saying "and beyond" recently.  It's ha-larious.  He raises his hand and each time he says it he laughs afterwards.  It's his "cocky i know i'm cute and get what i want when i do tricks" laugh.  It's the same laugh he "does" after he gets his cape on each day. Yes, he is a super-hero like that.  He wears it all.the.time.
What's up this week?  Packing.  For the BEACH.  Come to Mama, Thursday at 5pm, Come to Mama!
Oh, and I THINK Halloween costumes are decided.  Ace will be a Monkey like Ty was:
E (Flash) and Ty (Monkey w/ a Banana in his pocket!):  Boo at the Zoo 2009
And, Ty will be a Zookeeper:
Junior Zookeeper CostumeJunior Zookeeper Hat

We started with Jake and Cubbie from Jake and Neverland Pirates.  Custom costumes and 2 little boys that change their minds from one sentence to the next had me weary of paying $125 for 2 custom costumes.  Then Ty saw the Lion King.  I finally talked him out of that because he'd have to wear a lion head on top of his head and that would be annoying for me, much less a picky 3 year old!
I always thought a Zookeeper would be cute with the Monkey because Ty loves animals so much.  Now that he's infatuated with snakes, this is perfect.  I'm going to attach "Slipper Snake" to him someway or somehow so hopefully he won't want to declothe after 5 minutes of wearing the costume.
We have some fun Halloween activities coming up in between the BEACH and Disneyworld.  Oh, and we'll probably throw in tubes (yeah, like the kind the Dr. puts in) for Ty since we like to be busy all the time. More on that later, I've got suitcases to pack!
