There's this contest going on in magazine-land where you're supposed to ask your kid what love is and record it. We were on our way home from school when I asked Ty. He responded with the infamous "I don't know Mama".
He then started singing with his current CD of choice, "Jesus Loves Me". We passed the same huge cross that is lit up every day on our way home and he said, "Mama, Mama, der's Jesus' cross! I love dat Cross, Mama!"
So sweet and innocent. I love it.
He got home and he told me that Jesus loves him in between bites of his hot dog, another favorite food of the month. I'm trying to make it a point to turn off all electronic devices for a while as soon as we get home these days. No computer, ipad, phone, TV...I want to focus on my boys. Sometimes we sing. Ty likes it and Acey dance's the entire time. Or spins in circles. Depends on the day.
Anyhow, he was singing "Jesus Loves Me" over and over making sure to flex his muscles at the part that says "but he is strong".
After dinner, he asked to get on stage (stand in front of the fireplace) and do "questions". He doing that these days.
First Question (no, I didn't have the heart to untuck his shirt. He'll hate me for that. One day.):
What is love?
And, you can see the rest here:
Seeing this...
makes me REALLY happy that I send my child to a Christian preschool. Because even if he says "what the hell" at Thanksgiving Dinner with all the family thinking "what have you taught your child!!!" I know Jesus is in his heart!

Just found your blog and am a baseball coach's wife as well. We're all in together!
