This post is scheduled. Fashionably late, yet just in time.
We're surprising Ty with a trip tomorrow to Disneyworld. We're going to pick up where we left off...a quick sweep of all parks. The to-do list is PACKED again, but that's how we roll. It's strategic planning. Follow me on Instagram during the weekend. And, the Twitter. I'm Homerunmama there too.
And, if you haven't read Part 1 and Part 2 of this post, check them out too. Start Here. Then here.
Carry on...
Last but not least, Day 3 at Disneyworld.
Well, originally I had scheduled a lunch at Hollywood and Vine (HS) for this day to have lunch with Oso, Handy Manny, and the Little Einstein’s. I cancelled it so that we could go to Epcot for a little bit. I wish I would have scheduled an early breakfast for that though...
Instead of the character meal, we called the night before got a breakfast reservation at Boma in the AK Lodge. COOL HOTEL, but kind of far away. One day, we will stay in Animal Kingdom. It may not be anytime soon at all, but one day!!! Boma was delish. There were no characters, but that was okay.
 |
| Larry joined us for breakfast with Mr. silly face. |
Then we went to Epcot. We went to Epcot ONLY for Nemo. We wanted to do Soarin’ but the Fast Passes were not available until 4:15pm. Did I mention it was the last day of the Food and Wine Festival? Yeah, Ecpot was CRAZY packed.
 |
| "Mama, that golf ball is a giant!" |
 |
| Nemo is STILL one of my all-time favorites. Ty's too. Nemo in Epcot: Worth it! |
 |
| Awaiting the CRUSH experience. Disney is great and finding things to keep the kiddos entertained during wait times. |
We bolted off to Hollywood Studios to try and catch some character photos AND ride Toy Story. Well, TS had a crazy Fast Pass time and we were in a hurry. Ty needed a nap and we needed to see Woody. So, we stood in line for Buzz and Woody:
 |
| He looks so mischevious here... |
 |
| He. Was. In. Awe... |
THEN we found some other characters. And, what do you know…it was Jake’s first day in a Disneyworld Park. Ty was on cloud 9!
 |
I don't even know what to say about this photo besides Ty loved him.
Okay, does Jake's eyes freak anyone else out besides me? |
And, Handy Manny:
 |
Yo Ty Man. Over here.
Ty was so concerned about Manny's tools. I was too. His tools needed to be with him. We like tools around here. |
Off to Pizza Planet for lunch…then to nap again.
The naps were so time consuming…but needed. It takes a while to get out of a park, on a bus, back to your room, take a nap, get cleaned back up, back on the bus, back to a park, and then back in a park.
So…it was a good thing that we had tickets to Mickey’s Merry Christmas Party. That was an awesome night for our Grand Finale of Disneyworld! We had too much fun!!! I mean, who can say they led a conga line following Woody?
 |
| Blurry, but yes. That's me. Funny how I always get in the front of those lines... |
 |
| Mimi likes to shake it too... |
 |
| Bullseye's legs STILL make me laugh. They were even loud as he danced clomping on over the dance hall. |
We had front row seats to the Christmas Parade and almost every character said something to Ty Man. We all loved that!
We got to get on rides that normally had LONG lines…
 |
| Dumbo, Daddy, and Ty Man. 10 years ago Daddy would have thought Dumbo's were stupid. |
And, we got pictures with some characters that we hadn’t seen:
 |
So...my family used to call me Audie Pooh Bear growing up.
He kind of liked him. |
 |
| Thank the good Lord their sister wasn't with them talking. She's annoying. |
Ty liked the dancin’ though.
 |
| Just for the record, the Elf DJ's know WHAT'S UP!!! |
At 10:30, we decided it was time to call it a night. And, a trip.
 |
| I just love this one. Ty was so happy! |
All good things come to an end. We were ready to see Acey!
Tips of the Trip: Spend full days at AK and HS. If those end up being shorter days, go to DT Disney or spend time at your resort. Our resort and an awesome pool and beach and had activities all day but we were so busy we didn't get a chance to enjoy it. Epcot is more for adults, but there are some good restaurants I’d like to try there. 3 year olds need naps. So do parents. Make reservations. You can always change them. We were hesitant to make them because we thought it would hinder our trip but we should have made them. Park stollers: it’s a toss up. Ty’s too big for each of our 3 strollers and he doesn’t like them. But, the average Disney-go-er walks 8 miles a day. Little legs can’t handle that. So, we got a double stroller and even though his head about popped through the top, we had to get one each day. Do the meal plan. You will have MORE than enough food. But, it’s so convenient and easier to budget your trip (I mean, not that I paid for our’s but still….thanks Dad!).
Last but not least, the photo pass. $74.99 for a photo book is kind of crazy. I ordered 2 professional photos but that was it. I had my little camera ready at all times and I’m glad that I did. You never know when it’s time for a photo. Walgreens.com is a quick and simple place to make a photo book and you can basically do it from your phone so that's what we ended up with. Since we've been I've downloaded some new app's and I'll be utilizing them for our photo's for next time.
Disneyworld is Magical. Take it all in and enjoy!
