Mama Turned 31

So I've survived my first year in my 30's.
I used to think 30 was kind of old.

The weekend began with breakfast with a dear friend. Shelley and I grew up together.  No really, we were kind of inseperable for many, many years.  College came and we had to grow up and long story short, we were long overdue a breakfast.  Kidless.  To talk about life and catch up.  So we did.  And, it was fun.  And, I miss her sweet soul.  No matter the time or distance...Shelley is my soul mate kind of friend.  Love her.

Next up:  The pool!

Then Date night.
Myself and Acey.  He was all, "peace out Mama, I'm staying with Mimi and Papaw".
They went to the park, McDonald's, and to Target for Icee's.  Spoiled little monkeys.

We stayed low key and went to Chuy's.  Just Todd and myself...
that was my dinner.  and yes, i had more than 1 of everything!

That place is ridiculously delish.  No calories on your birthday, right?
The next morning consisted of a run, a park visit, and my Mama had me a Birthday party.  Yes, at the ripe old age of 31 I still get birthday parties from my Mama.  Always have had them, always will.

Needless to say, this birthday celebration made me smile.  The gifts and cards and phone calls...so nice.  But, to spend a full day in the town I love with my family...it was nice.

And, 30 is not old. It's good. I'm fortunate to have what I have and do what I do. I'm blessed by a God that loves me no matter what. My friends are my family, and my family is the best.

Acey love the bridge.  The water...no so much.
Ty liked to get wet.
See?
Weeeeeee
He kind of liked it.  This park is also called "Papaw's Park" to my boys.  I guess they think my parents own half of Louisville.
Ty liked the horses.  We went to see them...Dad has taken the boys to see the police horses several times.  Except this time Dad ask for horse poo.  It was kind of embarrassing.  I just kept thinking..."Dad's asking for free horse shit..."
Excellent weekend. Rock on 31. Rock on.

My Favorite 2 year Old

He's right here...

Mr. Personality. My little Man. My pistol. My Acey.
I never thought we'd call him Acey when we chose his name. He's either Acey or Boo. It's just...him.
He's loving and smiley and only wants his Mama or Daddy to hold him. He does like to cuddle when he's sleepy. He talks nonstop. Yesterday it was "Oh My Gosh, Mama!" and he sounded like a 10 year old.
He has attitude. He has spunk. He knows he's funny. And, cute.
I love it.
So...call him maybe?

Key West, Key West

Key West. Girl Trip 2012.
Fabulous.
It was hot.  It was entertaining.  (our neighbors...wow!)  And, my Mama and Aunt would KILL me if I posted the videos of them working on their moves.  You know, because we sure did squeeze in a Magic Mike viewing after brunch one day.
It was so much hotter that afternoon ;)

Hot Tub anyone?

So I'm not a cat fan.  But this cat had 6 toes.  Guess where we were???

Guess right.  Hemingway's house.  There were cats everywhere.

Proof

Oh yes, I went there.  Hair slicked back, hotter than Haiti (or, let's say Cuba to be a little more technical) and I'm pretty sure we walked like 18 miles back/forth/and around the island that day.  Beer.  It's what's for dinner.

Love this.  I ran around the island and the top photo was the North side, the bottom photo was the south side.  Both at Sunrise.  Both gorgeous to watch.  For the record, that may have the been the hottest 6am run I've ever been on in my life.

Because not all pictures need to be boring.  Back at Hemingway's house.  My top kind of goes with the decor.
Sister, Mama, and me.  Sweating like minks in line for the sunset cruise.  So hot.
I caught the sun.  I caught the sun.  I CAUGHT the sun.  Boo-yah!

We ate here.  This is also known as Kelly's as in Kelly McGillis.  As in Top Gun.
Hey ABC, can ya bring back som Pan Am for me?  It was an actual TV show I liked that wasn't reality. Figures...
View from the boat to the island.  So crowded.  This was the fire guy.  It kind of reminded me of Venice Beach.
Mama and Auntie.  Which one is older ;) ?

Yours truly.
These things were everywhere.  Everywhere.

My 3 guys picking me up from the airport.  Love this.

What a trip! And, for the record...Mom went and saw Magic Mike again after we got back. Crazy woman!
