I used to think 30 was kind of old.
The weekend began with breakfast with a dear friend. Shelley and I grew up together. No really, we were kind of inseperable for many, many years. College came and we had to grow up and long story short, we were long overdue a breakfast. Kidless. To talk about life and catch up. So we did. And, it was fun. And, I miss her sweet soul. No matter the time or distance...Shelley is my soul mate kind of friend. Love her.
Next up: The pool!
Then Date night.

Myself and Acey. He was all, "peace out Mama, I'm staying with Mimi and Papaw". They went to the park, McDonald's, and to Target for Icee's. Spoiled little monkeys.
We stayed low key and went to Chuy's. Just Todd and myself...

that was my dinner. and yes, i had more than 1 of everything!
That place is ridiculously delish. No calories on your birthday, right?
The next morning consisted of a run, a park visit, and my Mama had me a Birthday party. Yes, at the ripe old age of 31 I still get birthday parties from my Mama. Always have had them, always will.
Needless to say, this birthday celebration made me smile. The gifts and cards and phone calls...so nice. But, to spend a full day in the town I love with my family...it was nice.
And, 30 is not old. It's good. I'm fortunate to have what I have and do what I do. I'm blessed by a God that loves me no matter what. My friends are my family, and my family is the best.

He kind of liked it. This park is also called "Papaw's Park" to my boys. I guess they think my parents own half of Louisville.
